Julie Buxbaum

Julie Buxbaum is a New York Times bestselling author of middle grade, young adult, and adult novels. Her middle grade debut, The Area 51 Files, in a three-book series for readers ages 8 to 12 and has been nominated for a 2024 Sunshine State Young Reader’s Award. The second book in the series, The Big Flush, was published this past July, and Friend or UFO, will be published on April 16. Her work has been translated into twenty-five languages, and she was a
finalist for the Edgar award. Julie’s writing has appeared in various publications, including The New York Times. She is a former lawyer and graduate of University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Law School. Julie lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two children, and more books than is reasonable.
